If you and your friend were of the opposite gener or gay it might be possible they developed feelings for you and now that they're in a relationship they need to distance themselves to not feel conflicted.
Does that make sense?
Yes, it sounds like your friend's partner may be feeling threatened by your friendship, and so your friend is distancing himself from you in order to protect his relationship. I'm sorry you're going through that, and I hope you can restore the friendship at some point, perhaps when either your friend's partner begins to feel a bit more secure in the relationship or their relationship comes to an end.
