I have a mixed opinion on this question. I know I, myself, have felt lonely in relationships but it was never because of the other person - in fact they helped my inner loneliness immensely - but because of my relationship with my parents.
I'm not saying it's the exact same case for her but, by lonely, she may be referring to her relationships with friends and family which are just as needed as her current relationship with you.
It's not a great situation but all I can suggest is that you try to comfort her and be there for her right now. That said, I don't think this is your fault at all. You sound like a really good boyfriend to her and I wish the both of you the best of luck in the relationship.
