Yes but it has to be more complex than that. Because I am a short guy I have gotten used to the fact that lots of people dwarf me, especially most men, but even plenty of women (especially when they wear footwear that gives extra height). Never have I noticed a man hiding his height (unless they are 6'4"+ and somewhat ashamed of it), but women by their very nature will try to make themselves appear shorter regardless of their own height. I have noticed especially younger women doing this around me, which causes me to wonder if there is some sort of subconscious process (possibly attraction or respect) going on. Maybe even low self esteem or insecurity.
IIN for women to slouch so as to not appear taller than me?
