Is it normal for someone to ignore your friend request and then talk to you as usual

I sent someone a Facebook friend request in my office the other day. There's only about 7 of us in the office and we see each other everyday. I only joined Facebook recently to try to socialise with them better (since I'm extremely shy in work). I already knew they were all on Facebook and all talked to each other regularly on there. So I sent them all a friend request and was accepted by all of them except one. I don't know why she ignored it since she's friends with everyone else in the office. And I know she must've seen it cos she posted on Facebook a couple hours after I sent it to her. Then today when I went into work again, she acted completely normal and pleasant to me as she usually does. Asking how my weekend was and smiling and everything, not a bit of awkwardness or anything. Is that normal?

That's happened to me before (and I almost never add anyone, so it was really noticeable to me).

8 months later they asked me why I never added them and I said I did! And then they said they never received the notification.

Turns out he just didn't know how to check his adds on the new updated Facebook and there were a lot of people who had added him that he never replied to 😂😂😂

Long story short, it could just be a mix-up. Why not just ask?

Women tend to get a bunch of friend requests, she might have not just seen it. Talk to her about it maybe...

  • Some people get weird about coworkers as friends on FB. It could be they want their personal life personal. I’ve been rejected before so I understand
