Is it normal for people to be mean to special needs kids?

They are so mean to my special ed son. He likes to hug everybody and shake their hands that he comes in contact with, people wont do it just because he picks his nose and walks around with his hands in his pants and drools a lot. Why are epople so hateful

Well, special needs or not people have the right to refuse unsanitary human contact regardless of hurt feelings; and furthermore people have right to reject human contact with anyone for any reason regardless of hurt feelings!

"people wont do it just because he picks his nose and walks around with his hands in his pants and drools a lot"

THERE'S your reason. They're not being mean, they just don't want to be touched by unclean hands. Just because he's special needs doesn't mean they have to consider you or your son's feelings and put up with germs.

I dont make a habit of going around and hugging or touching strangers just because their special needs doesnt mean they get special treatment.

The general public are such fucking douchebags! Had this dumb women say something insensitive to my wife about the latest miscarriage/stillbirth loss and make her cry.I smoked a whole of cigarettes in one setting so I didn't punch the old hag.

Yes it's normal but it's not really intentional for the most of it. I used to fear people in wheelchairs and had breakdowns because of my brother would have been in something similar. I would literally tell them to get away from me and seeing retarded kids made me want to scream in anger, I dread you going to the school lunchroom. I was afraid because it was different from what is normal. Eventually I grew out of it in 10th grade and I realized that some people like fun and others are afraid for not understanding. If my brother was living he would have been 12 in August.

Hugs are nice, but a gold digger who doesn't share his booty is not well liked. You should tell your prospecting son to spread the wealth--literally, on people's clothes, hair, faces.
