    my parent is a bit different... he was never there and now he wants to control me in college. I am already better than him and now he thinks he can run my life because he messed up his own. so idk

      Very common for parents to push their children into doing what they always dreamed of. Very unfair and hard on the child, but it can sometimes be beneficial in the long run.
