I am very afraid to text my "guy" friends and go on social media on my phone. She obviously doesn't want me texting my male friends like that other is it normal post. She says that she can record my phone screen even if I delete anything. Is she using spying apps or spyware? I think this is very creepy and crossing my privacy boundaries and unfair. is it normal for her to scare me like this?

    Go with the big girl plan. Get you own phone and data plan. You don't have to give her access to it.

      You're assuming OP (who sounds very young) has the financial resources to do that, which may very well not be the case

        The OP is supposed to be 18 or older to be on IIN. That’s plenty old enough to figure out how to get her own phone. If not, she can deal with the rules of the adult paying her way.

        It's possible there are a lot of controlling grandmothers with man-issues out there, but in another post a few days ago talking about the same issues, the poster said she was 18.

    What's your grandma's deal? Is she tech savvy? Yeah it's possible to do stuff like that with phones, but only if you really know what you're doing.

    My grandparents wouldn't even know how to send an email. Maybe yours is some sort of tech genius though. More likely is she's all talk and just wants to scare you
