Is it normal for my friends to describe me as emotionless as a gargoyle?

Lately my friends have described me like a gargoyle, I don't smile nor show other emotions towards them and they think I am really scary, for doing that. I know I don't see smiling or showing my other emotions as my forte. Something got me questioning why did they describe me like that?

Well that’s pretty fucking harsh, are you sure those people are “friends”?

I have been friends with them for a year, I don't know if I should go around changing my friends.

  • I am the same way and i've been called cold. Thing is people I get to know generally know I just struggle with displaying emotions though and one person said "I know you're not a cold person but you really come off that way". I am not good at facial expressions and sometimes I think I am looking happy but I am not. At work twice in the past I was told to smile because I was apparently not looking very friendly to the customers lmao. As if they deserved that though, greedy bastards.

They don’t sound like your friends. Rude, superficial, and dismissive of them. I would never feel comfortable saying those things about my friends.

Theres a supervisor at work who always has the same look on his face just flat. He always wears dallas cowboy merch and no one has ever seen him with emotion. Hes flat as hell. On his facebook he got a pic of him with the cowboys coach and players and he was smiling ear to ear like a goof. No one ever seen him smile.

    Fake news.

If you didn’t show any emotions then you wouldn’t have made any friends in the first place.
