It can happen if she is really athletic

Good for her! The little girl is an athlete not some exercise fanatic who's addicted to dieting. Her muscular development is most likely a result of her athleticism.

When I was child I studied ballet for 9 years; even now as a middle-aged woman who could certainly stand to lose some weight I have nice calves and tight buttocks.

That little girl sounds like a healthy child who is a good example of why athletics and the arts are infinitely more important than hours wasted playing some stupid video game. There's so many unhealthy children today because they waste their time on unproductive bullshit. At least this child is not a fat slob or a puny weakling.

I'd imagine any gymnast at any age has a pretty tight body. That's a lot of hard physical work.

As a former gymnast, I can say that gymnastics is some hard shit. The amount of muscle it builds is ridiculous. It's very normal for girls to have six pack abs that young if they spend a lot of time in the gym.

Normal. She's a gymnast. The training is very rigorous. She's getting a very good work out and her muscles are being strengthened. I would be more concerned if she had little to no muscle definition after all her hard work.
