Is it normal for husband to get so angry over politics

So my husband and I are huge trump fans. My Husband asked my son's opinion on the tax bill. Our son evan , doesn't like trump and begged to talk something else. My husband demanded he be a man and state his opinion, so Evan did.

My husband turned into a psycho and started purposely hitting potholes , laughing hysterically releasing the break slamming on the break stopping and starting really hard and taking his hand of the wheels and yelling I am gonna crash this car. Evan says his whole body hurts after driving with him. But my husband says there is no way that you could hurt someone by driving bad on purpose to teach them a lesson.

Then he moved evan's car while he was at work to the other side of the mall so evan wouldn't be able to find it.He ended up taking the bus home. Then he mocked him and yelled and screamed at for being so stupid and My husband is angry that evan is trying to get another job so he can finish his doctorate without our financial help. I told Evan just to ignore his father's strange behavior, because deep down I know he loves evan. And evan is he hates my guts mom and I think he always has. I tried to smooth things over by buying him pizza and giving him a bunch of money, but it doesn't seem to be working.

    Your son should immediately move out and sever all contact with this "man". Anyone who terrorize his own child doesn't deserve one.

    Your husband is a true Orange Turd fan...A genuine asshole who abuses his kids in the name of freaking politics. Gee, what a shock. Son should go to work one day, pack some clothes in his trunk, and find somewhere else to live. Sounds like his parents are immature, childish nutcases.

    Your husband sounds like someone who, deep down, knows he's full of shit, but hopes that if he shouts his crap long enough and loud enough, he'll convince himself that he's right.

    I don't know how you two managed to raise a son who has a functioning brain, but his best move would be to get away as soon as possible.

    Your husband will have to accept that he is a success as a politician, but a failure as a father. Tell him, "No ifs, ands, or buts. You failed. It is not your son's fault. Accept it and move on. And above all else, SHUT UP!!!"

    Tell your husband "Congratulations, you just created a democrat." Why does the democrat platform attract young people? Because they're told everyone is mean, selfish and angry, hateful, spiteful etc. Even though your husband might push a piece of paper through the box for the right or wrong candidate it doesn't change the fact that the lines are drawn and your son is even more feeling his only family are those who hate your husband. Tell your husband this has gone on since time began, smear campaigns, elections, trickery, and growing up with a family is more important than being told to pick a side or you're going to have your car moved. PS, he sounds narcissistic, start researching that. If he's also the type to say things that make people angry and then act like he never said it, he's going to fall into that category easily.

    its is normal to get angry with politics, but THAT angry, and with his own son, is one thing i never saw.

    Tell him that if he wants to change the opinion of his son he needs to sit down and talk calm and openly. Worked for me with a bunch of people
