Is it normal for certain blood vessels or muscles to randomly move rapidly?

Every so often I'll just be sitting/laying down, nothing special, when suddenly a spot on my body (usually in my leg or abdomen) just starts doing a sort of slow vibrating. It'll go really fast one moment, then stop, then start up and go even faster, then stop. I can actually see it happening if it's on my leg, it bumps up and down rapidly and i have no control over it. I'm not sure if it's muscle spasms or some sort of blood vessel doing something. Anyone know what this is?

YES! You could have Vitamin D deficiency because I have that same symptom(and a few more). Go to your doctor and she will probably tell you to take some vitamin d pills. And if left untreated it could lead to multiple sclerosis. And trust me, you DO NOT want that!

I think I know the cause for this, as I have seen this happen to me as well.

I believe the twitches could be caused by either stress, or lack of electrolytes (THAT is found in drinks like Gatorade etc).

ah ok, so it's clearly very normal. Yeah I've seen it happening on my leg too, it's kinda creepy...

    O yeah it's normal.

I especially like it when I can look at the body part while it's still happening.

It happened on my hand a month or two ago. I managed to see before it stopped.... a fluttering pulse on the knife-edge of my hand... pretty cool really.
