    That's not true. There are serious side effects with any medication. The iud could grow unto the uterine wall, among many other things. Besides, it sounds like the poster is new to the birth control world and an IUD is most likely recommended for older women, not teenagers.

    Anyway, the symptoms can get better, but I would go talk to a doctor. I was like that, but I switched. I just wasn't me. Unfortunately, there's a lot of trial and error when it comes to choosing the right birth control pill for you. Talk to your doctor to find one lower in estrogen.

    • Yes its medication. It is a foreign substance being introduced to your body. I agree with this person there is always chances of side effects. Also if you are acting weird it is a good idea to talk to the doctor and tell him how the pills are affecting you.
