Is it normal for birth control pills to make you feel insane and moody?

I started on Birth Control Pills and I am felling really a lot more moody and crying a lot more then I normally am. Is it normal for the pill to do this does it get better after a few more months?

  • your period is a blessing not an inconveince...
be grateful. some do not have one.

as far as b-pills go have you not seen the class action lawsuits...

    aside from the side effects

can you just use condoms, honestly my husband and i use them and i wont take those pills.

    weight gain
    anxious ness
    mood swings

those pills are pumped with estrogen ... you have enough

for gods sake please dont try to skip your period either.

men should throw a condom on PERIOD. fuck them they can get off with their hands, and they will take what they can get when they love you...

seriously people think im crazy for not letting my husband cum in me... well news flash

he loves this, and im actually nicer with out the pills, and the pros outway the cons big time,,,, and im not sick or have a fatal bloodclot, you don't know what that stuff causes.

its so laughable i mean a woman with a vagina... taking drugs just so she can have sex, when a man does nothing... sometimes nothing.

    NOOOOOOOO!

Other than the large wieght loss keeping you one at a managable wieght but other than that I do not think it is a blessing.

Totally normal.. Its impossible to say that any one medication has no side effects. It varies greatly for each person. I was on birth control for many years in my twenties and still paying the price.. BC messes with your hormones seriously, and sometimes causes lasting hormonal problems

That's not true. There are serious side effects with any medication. The iud could grow unto the uterine wall, among many other things. Besides, it sounds like the poster is new to the birth control world and an IUD is most likely recommended for older women, not teenagers.

Anyway, the symptoms can get better, but I would go talk to a doctor. I was like that, but I switched. I just wasn't me. Unfortunately, there's a lot of trial and error when it comes to choosing the right birth control pill for you. Talk to your doctor to find one lower in estrogen.

Yes its medication. It is a foreign substance being introduced to your body. I agree with this person there is always chances of side effects. Also if you are acting weird it is a good idea to talk to the doctor and tell him how the pills are affecting you.
