Is it normal for a young girl to shop for lingerie with her mother?

So I was shopping at La Senza for some sexy lingerie for my wife, obviously with the intention of having her wear it for me during sex. I was rummaging through some of the panties when a girl who looked as young as 14 or 15 walked up and started rummaging through the same selections right next to me, maybe a few inches away at most. Her mother was a few racks down looking at bras.

This made me very uncomfortable since the panties we were looking at were tiny lacy thongs and even novelty panties with slogans printed on them, such as "Walk of Shame" and "My bed or yours?". I felt dread as A) I'm in horny mode and now standing right next to a minor, B) the thought of her mother noticing us so close together and possibly accusing me of being inappropriate and C) the thought of what it might look like to everyone in the mall if I had to be escorted out of a women's underwear store by security...

In the end I moved to another part of the store quickly, and noticed that she made her selections and brought them up to the counter and added them to her mothers pile of purchases.

So anyway, my question is is it normal that a mother would bring her underaged daughter to a lingerie store and that she would allow her to pick out items for herself that are clearly meant for adults? Or rather, is it normal that the store would even allow her in there in the first place?

    Dont be a dumbass. Eight year old girls wear g-strings now. 14 or 15, she's probably had sex with more guys than years of her life.

    I want to look at it this way, why is there a man in the store shopping for lingerie? Yes you have a very good reason and no you aren't the first and last male on earth who has shopped lingerie for their other half.

    A mother and daughter shopping together is not abnormal - i guess you learned that it can also include "sexy" lingerie.

    If it was my daughter and my wife - well first of all thank god its with my wife and not one of her school mates! Also i realize that its normal to be young and extremely horny.

    So thank god for birth control - and science.

      I'd like to think that a 31 year old married man has just a little bit more of a right to be in a lingerie store than a 14 year old girl.

    She could've been older than you thought. Im 21 but with no make up and a breast smushing sports bra after the gym I look like i'm 14.

      Even if that was the case, she was buying garments that I don't think any 21 year old girl would want her mother knowing she was wearing... Or rather, it very much seemed that her mother was buying them for her so I'm still leaning toward the girl being underage as any self-respecting adult would buy their own sex-wear and not get mommy to buy it for her.
