Is it normal for a teacher to act like this?

Okay this happened a long time ago actually but it still bothers me a bit to this day. The teacher in question in this story is my fourth grade teacher, who kind of looked like a female version of Donald Trump now that I think about it. She did a couple questionable things as a teacher but I'll just recount one for the sake of not taking too much of your time.
Anyway one day during class we were all working on some sort of project. I don't remember the details but it involved drawing a large circle on a piece of paper. I think just about everyone has drawn a circle at some point and knows that it's pretty difficult to draw a nice looking circle. This teacher on the other hand was not very impressed with the circles us kids were drawing. She got really upset and started yelling at everyone about how useless we all were because we couldn't even draw a simple circle, saying we were all stupid and would go nowhere in life. As one last dig at us she left the room to head to the preschool classroom where her granddaughter was to supposedly have her draw a circle. She then returned with her granddaughter in tow holding a paper with an absolutely perfect circle on it. There was no way that circle hadn't been traced. She then declared that everyone would have to come up to the front of the room to show her their circle before they would be allowed to move on to the next step in the project.
I sat at my desk nearly in tears trying to get my circle to be as perfect as possible before the class was over.
Is this an acceptable or normal way for a teacher to behave?

It's possible to draw a perfect circle freehand without a compass which is probably what she did.

I think what she did was incredibly mean and demeaning.

    • Maybe it's possible, but I highly doubt a preschooler is capable of it.

if she wanted a perfect circle, why not just get everyone to do it with a stencil?

    No, that is not normal.
It is clear is she is a psychopath.Yelling and screaming at children just because they couldn't draw a simple circle perfectly. I think that's pretty pathetic of her and i bet she wouldn't have gotten anywhere in life making any friends.

There are many terrible teachers unfortunately. That's awful and not acceptable behavior at all.

Yea nuns are horrible, they used to crack us in the head with those damn pointer sticks, we had one who would hit kids with her half a cut off hand too. If they couldn't handle the situation they'd call a priest in. I saw one take a stack of books and smash it over a kids head. The head priest and one regular priest both got indicted on pedo charges.

Wow, no that's not normal. She's a horrible person. It's pretty hard to draw a nice circle that's small, but a large one is next to impossible.
