Is it normal for a relatively normal person to have an extremely depraved dream

It involved a guy with no legs in a room full of prisoners who had their legs 'removed.' He was randomly shuffling around smashing heads with a sledge hammer. Some heads exploded in brain matter, some squirted out a clear liquid. Some prisoners fell back holding their heads and convulsing.

    Sounds like fear of being helpless (no legs) and lashing out in anger (smashing heads). Odd dream, but not the message.
