Is it normal for a parent to humiliate their child?

Is it normal that some fathers say to thier daughters 'I will slaughter you ' while holding thier neck and raging , after the daughters (who are under 25 ) so is expected to be immature say /do something they don't approve of, and that thing doesn't need all that drama , not at all as it's something simple ?

Also humilating thier daughters for not answering thier phone when they call them ,so they humilate thier daughter in the street by scolding them and shouting to them , not caring who will hear / see what he is doing ?

Also when they were in thier early teen (so young) they would pull thier ear till thier ear hurt and turn red , and they start to cry ?.

Also they will throw away food in the garden that is fresh and the grandfather just brought , because the family wants to go and they are still eating ,so they take what they are eating and the rest that is still fresh and throw it ?

Also they will take a tshirt from thier teen daughter because they don't approve of it ,and keep it with them? , are thier actions normal ? and if not then why the hell doesn't anybody say anything about them and thier actions , instead people usually stand by them?
