I know a guy who still acts like he's in high school and he's 26 too. He's not a jerk though, very cool guy, but it's like he just can't get past the "good old days" those were to him and he's even kinda upset some of his old HS friends have started families etc and can't party with him anymore.
I think it's common enough. Not wanting to grow up.
I know a lot of people like that too. My friend group from high school fell apart within the first few years of us leaving high school and my best friend insists on trying to find a way to convince everyone to be buddy-buddy again and act just like in high school rather than moving on. Him and one of the others also say they miss high school, prom, etc. I can't relate tbh. I had some good memories and met some good people, but I'm past all of that and in a new chapter of life I like much better. At least they aren't jerks though like the guy in question.
