Is it normal for a guy to be this desperate to get married?

I've been talking to a guy on Facebook for a week. He is 31 and has been engaged twice so far. When I asked him why he is so fascinated about getting engaged, he said that he doesn't even want to be engaged, he wants to get married and have a family. He comes across as very desperate to get married. Is this normal?

Also, we haven't even met in person, and he has already asked me if I we got married, would I want to have a wedding that was in my or his tradition. Is this normal? It normal to ask marriage related questions this soon?

His dad passed away recently, so I am not sure if this has anything to do with this...

    He wants to get married for the sake of being married...not good. You should be in love before you consider marriage not to mention emotionally and financially secure. He may love the idea but the reality is marriage is hard and often less than ideal.

    Once you're in your early 30's and you're still not married, some men panic about spending their whole life alone so they find the nearest woman they can and try to make it happen. Stay far away and be with someone that you're in love with.

      No. The only thing that makes me think may be the reason is because he recently lost his dad to a sudden heart attack....

    He's hoping (desperately) to be rescued and has a strong desire to feel secure and loved. Run, before you get pulled in over your head.
