Iin2be ok w/sex scenes but absolutely despise kissing scenes in films

A fair few of my female friends - all single - like romantic movies and romcoms.

When I'm watching a film with them, I always have to close my eyes/put my head down/look away *somehow* when a kissing scene comes on.

My friends will say that they think the kissing is sweet, but I just feel sick watching 99.9% of the time.

In fact, I would rather watch the rape scene from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - or even A Clockwork Orange - than look at kissing scenes, no matter how adorable they might seem.

I think I find it gross in the same way that an 8-year-old boy does, but I'm a woman in her 20s.... and there are a couple of examples of romantic films I don't mind too much. I have a boyfriend and have had - AFAIK - the most relationship and sexual experience of my peers.

I don't know whether it's the sight or sound that grosses me out most, but it just.... **DOES**.

    Hahah we know watcha mean. I sometimes feel embarrassed watching sex and kissing scenes. My face starts feeling hot and i lower the volume >_o its so awkward at times. The kissing sounds so sloppy and icky.

    It's brilliant when you do it yourself. Watching other people suck on each other's tongues? Plain fucking nasty.

    I have to admit, I never thought about it before, but yes, kissing scenes annoy me. Not because I am resentful. I have made out with plenty of girls. But they are so ubiquitous. And thats whats so annoying about them.

    I too dislike watching other people kiss at all, maybe it's cause i don't care for seeing other males in the mix.

    It wouldn't be normal if you yourself didn't like kissing. On the other hand, maybe it's the clicheness of the kissing? I hate romantic movies because they set high standards for romance that just become...grotesque.

    It's not just the sounds, though.... I cringed watching Harry and Kate kiss on the balcony for their wedding....

    Yeah I don't want to see it. It's annoying when they make sounds. Ergh just thinking about it...

    Is it because they make it all loud and slurpy to emphasise it? I suppose it's the same with fight scenes. It's all pow, whack, and oof, but when you actually hit someone in real life, it only makes a dull noise. Same like when you kiss someone.
