Is it normal and should i hang out with my friends gf who is overly friendly?

To cut a long story short, my old mate who I have not seen in about 6 years now has Facebook and his gf who I dont know and who is also a new gf added me on Facebook and we have been chatting a ton. Shes so nice but idk why she added me? She said my mate speaks fondly of me and she also wants to meet one day Idk if I should. I have been a little paranoid and thought maybe she is keeping a close eye on me as her bf which is my mate speaks fondly of me and potentially could see me as a threat? I wanted to clear the air as when I knew my mate at age 16 I never felt comfortable with the circle of friends I was in, to tell them I was gay. I ended up telling her tonight that I'm over men and going to the Big Gay Out to find me a nice gf hahah she said this "Same can I come W you babe honestly I need a vibratror gf x"
I guess shes joking where as I'm serious and want a gf. Anyways she said to me that she would love to go with me to the event as shes been before and its awesome. I have literally known this chick for 2 days and shes so chatty and nice and we have so many core values. Shes a tad messed up as shes been on drugs but isnt on them anymore and just drinks occasionally apparently. Idk if I should go with her when A) I want to mingle and potentially ask girls for their numbers and B) I dont know what shes like irl and I dont want to attract the wrong people into my life anymore. I have no one else to go with and she could be my wingman? Thoughts? Quite nervous overall

Talk to your mate about this. Make sure he's aware of how friendly she's being. Say it nicely - "your new girlfriend seems nice, she added me on Facebook and is chatting to me loads! She even wants to come to BGO with me!". This opens up the convo to tell him nicely about everything that has been discussed in a way that doesn't make it sound like you're ratting her out. This way you aren't going behind your friend's back at all.

I would then tell this girl you don't mind traveling there with her but once you get there you want to be alone to pick up girls and be nice but firm.

    • Yes actually she made him a new Facebook account and often they sit next to each other both messaging me.
Hes also the shy type of person so he prob would not go to the event anyway.
Actually she just message some now and I just had a heat flush, I think she was flirting with me. She just said u are beautiful x out of the blue??

So you're into each other? Fair enough. You have to decide if it's worth losing a friend over.

Also please consider the fact that she's actively persuing you whilst in a relationship with someone else. She will do the same thing to you one day.

You are within your rights to refuse to speak to her anymore. If your friend asks why just say she's blatantly hitting on you and if makes you feel uncomfortable.

            • Yah do you think she is? Or shes just overly friendly like some girls are?

That is odd. Sounds like you may have a crazy stalker, especially if your profile is public.

However, I could be wrong. It just feels off. New girlfriend who has been told loads of good things about you from a friend you haven't seen in 6 years?! Now she wants to go out with you to help you hunt for women even though she's only known you for a short time?! Is her boyfriend coming too? Not trying to say you'll do anything with her, but if he's always speaking fondly of you, wouldn't he be happy to reconnect with you and properly introduce his lady to you in person? It all sounds so suspicious.

Before you do anything, my suggestion would be to contact your old friend, and tell him that his "new girlfriend," (whatever her name is) invited him out to help him find a girlfriend and see if he wants to come along for the fun. If your friend has NO IDEA of what you're talking about, then you may have a major problem on your hands that you need to avoid asap.

    • He will definitely be aware as usually when we are messaging, I'm also talking to him on his Facebook. They sometimes sit next to each other while I message. I'm pretty sure he knows she wants to go with me to big gay out. She also wanted to to go to theirs.

      • Also my guy friend is quite shy and he has hinted in the past about catching up but I never took him up on the offer. Also, my guy mate and I have spoken from time to time on Facebook just have not seen each other in ages

Do you think it's far-fetched that they might be looking for someone to have a threesome with? :S

These things happen all the time. I'm assuming you're young so take the risk for a true connection, as you say, and even if you crash and burn, you would have learnt some lessons along the way. Try to find out if she has real feelings for you, it's very difficult to tell online. I think it's very easy to flirt and catch feelings online. But does this have potential? You won't know because you can't date your friend's girlfriend. If you value your friendship and don't want a reputation as a chick snatcher, I say wait for her to make a move. And if she doesn't wanna be with your friend anymore, she should be the one to tell him. This way you can play it safe. I understand I'm giving contradicting advice, just deal with it
