Is it normal always pushing my finger tips towards my nail?

I’m constantly pushing the skin of my finger tips towards my nail.
You know where your nail meets the bottom of your finger tips? Where dirt gets stuck sometimes?
I always put my finger tips on my pants or against my palm and then pull my fingers back so that they push the skin into that nail divot.
I’m really obsessive over it and it bothers me a lot when I feel like my nail is separating from my finger tip skin.

I do the opposite because it helps my gnarly calluses. And my thumb I do a lot of pushing away on after doing deadlifts with a hook grip. Doesn't seem normal to me.

Trim your nails often. Then there will never be much nail overhanging the skin.

I'm always cleaning my nails. As I child, I would shove the corner of my blankie under my nails.
