Is it normal all my friends act so differently ?

I know everyone has different qualities about them as opposed to others.

What confuses me a little is why some are more for example generous than others and some don't hug you at all when greeting or saying good bye?

Is it possible to find a lot of the qualities in a friend one is looking for, all in one?

For example I would like to find a friend that's generous as well as affectionate/huggy and with a good sense of humor who shares common interests.

I have one close friend who's very generous as in she gives me a lot of things which is very kind but she never hugs me ..I once had a different close friend who never really gave me anything but she was so sweet in the way that she'd hug me heaps, tell me she loves me etc

Come to think of it, none of my friends tell me they love me ...Maybe that's faded out with saying that to eachother or something..

    I don't hug because it's an intimate, personal display, similar to kissing. It's only reserved for one or two people I know, and my dogs.

    Wanting an all in one package is normal but not realistic. We all grow differently, and differant tragic things happen that affect behavior.

    For instance, you may think someone isn't generous but maybe they grew up poor and are terrified to give things away. Maybe their idea of generosity is to not burden anyone, so they keep what they have obtained, in order to be self sufficient. In contrast, the person you think is generous may not give any substantial meaning to things because everything came really easily. So giving things isn't a sacrifice because theu have never gone without, and to them it's meaningless.

    Life is a complex bitch. Unless we know where people are coming from it's impossible to know if they are really giving us special attention.

      aw okay interesting..yeah I only like hugging certain people and more so girls (I'm an f) as its just so nice to hug a pretty and cuddly female :3

      I fully understand what you're saying tbh my "generous" friend doesn't go out of her way to buy me things but gifts me things she no longer wants.
      I don't think I'm anything special as she's like that it seems.
