Sometimes when you know you have something in common, it's easier and more fun to talk about that. Maybe you guys should make a club or something so you only talk about it in the club? :P And then you can get to know her outside of the club.

But it IS easy to just fall into a trap of talking about the same subject with someone...
Usually because they're not letting you know any of their other interests, so it's hard to just pick random things to talk about.
