Iin... my period starts every 2 weeks

My mom and I were having a conversation about periods. I asked her how often does her period occurs, she says hers happens every month. I told her "Mine always starts every 2 weeks" she said "THATS NOT NORMAL"
Im not sure if she's right though? Do you ladies/girls think this is normal?

    No, it's not normal, unless you've only been getting it for a short wile. If you're not a teen, go to a doctor.

      Lucky. I'm anywhere between 22 and 29 days, usually 24- 26. I hate it. And it lasts a whole week :(

        Dirtybirdy I had a friend who had it like this and she changed her diet and it went back to a more normal and shorter period. What does your diet mostly consist of?

          Hmm, I've had many different diets over the years. Vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, and junk food junkie, and it's always been this way.

      28 days is the average, so unless your periods are regulated by the contraceptive pill that's not the norm for many women. Our bodies aren't machines!

        I do not take the pill, but I swear I always get it on the 28th day. For the past two years, I only had one month different, that my boyfriend had been away and I hadn't had sex, and it came on the 32nd day.

    It depends how old you are, irregular periods are totally normal in younger girls
    But its always best to check in with a doctor, just for piece of mind.

    That's not normal. The average period comes regularly between 21 and 35 days apart
