I'm in northern US but have been to many states in the north and south.
It doesn't seem to be so much north vs south culture differences as it is country vs city.
I don't think either is more or less trust worthy either because anybody can lie, but I will explain what cultural differences I have observed.
Country people generally have better manners. They respect other peoples houses, share more and are hospitable towards guests.
City people often act entitled, disrespectful and complain a lot. However they tend to be more open minded and tolerant towards differences.
I am born and raised from Washington state by country parents so I grew up being taught respect as well as tolerance.
I notice this with my friends too. People from the country are generally much easier to live with. People from the city are often terrible house guests who do not pick up after themselves.
IIN....... I trust Southerns in the USA more than Northerners?
