Getting lifts with people where I live is not considered lame. Like if a person you work with was going in the same direction as you want to go they will often say you can come in my car.
Oh yeah, I get what you're saying. It is good to be independent for sure as you can do what you want when you want. If you have to rely on other people you keeping interrupting their schedule.
If you were told you can no longer drive what would you do?

Yea that's fine, we do that here too, but I mean constantly being dependant on people to take me places.
