You have way too much free time to write all of these options my dude XD
Anyway, I saw technology and went for that. It's closest to something that often lingers in my mind. Space travel, space colonization, aliens, spaceships... Mankind shall play a crucial role in the interplanetary theater of space-fearing species one day.
I feel like they're similar enough that anyone who would've chosen one could've very easily settled on the other.
I can't readily name any specific monster. I think what I was thinking of was more about monsters in theory than in reality or in existing fiction. Sometimes when I go for walks at night I would randomly think "what if there's an eldritch deer thing running up behind me that's about to trample me and eat me?" and that stupid thought would be enough to make me turn around and check. It makes me feel like such an idiot but I love it
I also just noticed you have debt listed twice. I guess judging by your other replies on here I should assume it was intentional.
It's never that I feel like I'm less intelligent for having that paranoia. I think many people regardless of intelligence have had the same kind of thoughts, and most of them probably feel ridiculous afterwards because it's an extremely irrational thing to just spontaneously think. I like having those paranoid thoughts though. Maybe I just enjoy feeling like I'm being hunted.
I'm happy that I've successfully tricked you into thinking I'm smart though. I don't really know what to think of you yet, but you're probably pretty cool

How likely is it for a sufficiently advanced AI to be caught in religion? I think it would be an even 50/50 chance for ai to come to that conclusion of god existing.
The AI would well be aware of its knowlage limitations and their creators didnt know so how would they know? Would they go with a scientific notion of what god is or would they join an established religion? In the infinity of "logical" choices out there wouldnt Catholicism be a logical choice for some AI? Or islam? Or Hinduism?
Believing in a god or not is a 50/50 choice a one or a zero. The baseline of coding. Faith is fundamentally a gamble thus having faith is a 1 while having no faith is a 0.
This is the shit that pops into my mind on occasion, I'm writing a space story so it gets me pondering deep questions like this shit.
Well it's more of a deconstruction of what a true intergalactic goverment would act like. Humanity isnt unified what so ever goverment wise. Faith wise is another matter entirely. There are seperate AI "species" that are constantly at war with eachother. Biological plagues and nanobots plagues. And then I thought of the implications for AI to come to the same conclusion as biological life when it comes to religion. So that just adds a layer of how unstable the peace is in most of the galaxy.
