    That was my step dad, he had a yellow nape parrot he only showed attention to when he had someone to be impressed. Poor bird rarely saw other living things for years

      I’ll bet that bird became a screamer, or developed a stress habit like feather plucking or going in circles? Did the parrot end up being rehomed?

        Yeah, screeching, squawking, water splashing, and a little bit of feather plucking

        I'm sure he still has the bird, he got pleasure from owning it, not enjoying it (just like his corvette)
