If you died at the age of 69, would you be alright with that?

  • I'd be alright with it, but I'll not lay down and let it happen. Oh no sir-e-bob! This old fart is gonna go down fighting, clawing and kicking till my last breath has been ripped from my lungs and trampled on the floor by a herd of bison.
Giving in just is not in my vocabulary.

    • Speaking of which, what will become of your young lady friend when you bite the big one? What do you wish for her? Do you want her to find new love or mourn you til she dies?

      • No wake or mourning allowed. A nice fund for a huge party to celebrate my life, not mourn my passing (we've discussed this). Throw the husk in the ocean.
I want her to have a great life, doing whatever she wishes. Keep sailing, never sail again, go back to horses or whatever she wishes; her life, her choice, except for the mourning.
When there is such a huge age difference, these things need to be discussed and agreed to. Till death do us part is a certainty in our case, not a vague ideology.
