A government that is for the people and is run by the people, strong separation of powers, direct referendums on important issues e.g. Immigration/amendments to the constitution.
A strong constitution that is protected by a constitutional court/authority.
A democratic government that is voted using the MMP voting system to entice smaller parties into power. A unicameral legislature (no upper house e.g House of Lords/Senate).
Head of state (President) will be separate from the Head of Government (Prime Minister/Premier).
Strict separation of Church and State, freedom of religion, etc. Civil unions are recognised by the state as a legal binding entity with protection of both parties. Marriages are not dealt by the state but by their respective religious organisation.
Industries that are accountable for their actions to it's community and to fulfill their obligations. Regulative measures agreed by both the government, the people (thru direct referendums) and private industries.
No CENTRAL BANK - A non partisan organ independent of the government with members voted in by both parliament and by direct referendum. Their job is regulate the flow of cash/coins into the supply market and also act as a regulator for the banks. Banks are expected to act within limits i.e. lending vs asset ratio.
Well this is just the government part. But hopefully this gives you an idea.
If you could have your own nation, what would it be?
