I honestly think it's stupid to wish for a family when people can just make their own, but on preference of what I would of preferred as a kid read below.
My preferences would be:
- supply food and shelter
- not religiously biased (can be religious/atheist just not to the degree of which it conflicts with a moral thought pattern)
- not adamantly inclined to one perspective
- has good ethics, even if not agreeing to the situation (including law)
- quiet (affiliated more towards the morning, yet still not exaggeratedly loud)
- is kind to of which abhorrence (even for a moment) does not include violence between each other's
- supportive, but not attached towards each other
- and knows common knowledge (wouldn't do something stupid without reasoning behind it)
