If if was fair I'd let it happen. Sadly, schoolyard fights are part of growing up. Besides, if it gets stopped, it'll just happen at another place and time. Kids can be cruel. If it were my kid, I'd stop it and go the extra mile of alerting the principal etc. Or maybe not because then they'd have to deal with hallway torment while the other kids tease my kids for being less than brave. oh crap.
