I've worked with families who are from different countries, thus different accents.

Some of the kids have, to a degree, picked up their parents accents, despite the accents of others in their location. However, the more they are exposed to the other people they live around (ie daycare/school), the less pronounced it is.

It wholeheartedly depends on how well they fake an American accent and how generic dad's fake name is (it is always Sam) in customer service.

I live in a Highly populated Hispanic area. The kids either develop a slight Hispanic accent or they just don't have one at all.
