If two adult grown men fight each other in the house is it normal for the mom to call the cops right away? Getting one of the brothers arrested, who has a career and no criminal record?
When small children fight, it's not normal not to call the cops. When it's two adults, yeah, it's normal to call them. That barrier of protection you had as a kid is long gone and fighting on someone's property actually has consequences when you're at an age where you should know better.
It probably depends.
I certainly wouldn't want people coming to my house, fighting with each other and potentially damaging my property. Why are they fighting in the house anyway? That's a trashy thing to do.
I'd be pissed off if my adults kids were fighting in my house. She probably called the police to try and teach you a lesson. She's probably disappointed that you're still so immature that she needs to teach you lessons.

It depends how bad the fight was. She probably shouldn't have. This could hurt his career. Brothers fight.

Friends and family still like nothing ever happen.

They should have the common courtesy to take the fight outside where they're not wrecking mom's furniture.
It is not necessary to call the cops right away when there are family members involved. Try to resolve it on your own or with the help of people around you. If it's not possible or if the fight is taking a violent turn, alert the cops immediately.
