Well, if an animal killed a human in the wild, I'd be more interested in why a human was in the wild near that animal in the first place. We've mightily screwed wild animals over so I'm hard pressed to say we should kill a wild animal for killing a human in the wild. However, if the person was someone I care about, then all rational aside, the animal is fucking dead.
A New Jerseyan got killed by a bear in the suburbs of New York City a few years ago and all he did was take a picture and walk away (then he ran when it followed). We cannot move all the middle suburbs into the inner suburbs and city.
