If is it normal was a rock band, what instrument are you playing?

I don't mean what you have an aptitude for. I just mean, assessing your personality and contribution here, how would that translate to what instrument you'd play if it was a band?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    • You're just like my mum when she was in her twenties. I think she's still got the tambourine somewhere.

  • I can do vocals if you get me drunk and don't mind them being terrible. On IIN, I quite like attention (which is the opposite of how it is in real life) which suits being a vocalist quite a lot, but I'd crumble under the pressure, I think. It takes quite a lot to be the centre of attention constantly and have to take everything that comes with it. I wouldn't want that challenge.

Drums keep a steady rhythm throughout the song, divided by occasional drum fills. Drums are really important to the song, but I don't think they are "me". I'm too inclined to say something random; although that's not to say I'm not formulaic. Drums are too "in the background" for me; too far in the opposite direction from singing.

Guitar is my first love in real life, which you might think would make me inclined to pick it now but you'd be wrong. I don't want my IIN experience to be a mirror of my real life, I want it to be different and complimentary. Bass is good because it keeps to the background, but you can be very important as a bassist. You fit between the drummer and the guitarist and you can really perform when you're playing bass because you're using up less concentration than you are playing lead guitar, but you can still play with feeling.

A bassline can be the most simple but most memorable part of any song, and I like that. I admire people who can make memorable, succinct but deadly accurate sentences. So I'll choose bass. I want to be IIN's bassist.

EDIT: If it's a ska band though, you better not dare try and take a brass instrument away from me though. I love horns in ska songs and I'll be damned if I don't get one.

  • I picked keyboard. I seem to be in the background of a lot of things in life.

  • Perhaps a dulcimer?

Now that's a kickass rock band.
We have a bass, electric guitar, triangle, cowbell, dulcimer, and Kazoo!

All we need is a didgeridoo, and we will be complete

  • Either Electric Guitar or a electronic instrument.

  • The only instrument I own is a Keyboard. I do love the Keyboard:D! I'm not sure which would fit my personality and contribution here, though. I'm the person playing a broken triangle, aren't I?:/ I don't think I'm cool enough for Keyboard, unfortunately.

  • Can I be the cow bell? That sounds like fun. :)
