How is the "thou shalt not covet" clause relevant to rape or child sexual abuse? To covet is to be envious of something someone else has and want to have it, nothing to do with non-consensual sex.
I was merely pointing out that rape and child sexual abuse aren't included in the ten commandments either: I wasn't equating it with being gay, which is condemned elsewhere in both old and new testaments. I didn't mean I think it should be prohibited, but as a survivor of both I certainly think rape and child sexual abuse should be, and the god of the old testament is silent on these issues. The old testament is far more preoccupied with dietary restrictions and mandating male circumcision than with what are far more important moral issues.
Sorry if I wasn't clear but you did jump to the conclusion that I'm warped
Rape & child sexual abuse both begin with coveting, craving to posses. They probably are also covered under stealing since they both have to do with taking something that doesn't belong to you, be it a child's innocence or sexual privilege of another person.
That's what I meant. Sorry to hear of your past experiences and for presuming you're warped. My misunderstanding.
I think that's a long shot but of course you're entitled to your opinion: my point is that they weren't important enough to whoever wrote the ten c's to specifically include them.
I think we understand each other now .... thanks for gracious response
If I'm gay can I still be accepted into heaven?

No, actually I think they are covered under the covet clause.
What kind of warped individual equates being gay to rape & child sexual abuse?
