If a politician best represents you, but cheats on his wife...

At work, one of my co-workers mentioned that he was surpised that brown from California had won the election..

When asked why he was surpised, he went on a tyriad on how he had a "scandalous" affair on his wife..

I said "I would be willing to over look that if I agreed with him on the issues"

Both my supervisor's jaw, and the jaw of the co-worker had dropped a little bit..

My supervisor then wen't on a long winded rant on how that was america's down fall when it came to clinton.
I flat out said "If I agreed with clinton on the ISSUES I am not sure I would be able to vote for the other guy over a BJ!"

Then he turned around and started to talk about bills he did not agree with

I replied by saying "I may not of voted him for that, but it would've been because of THAT not because of the BJ!"

I don't remember clinton that well (I am 22) but I am sure if I lived during that day, I would've voted for him simply because it sounds like anti-clinton people got hung up on it! I think I would've gotten caught up in the logic of "If the worse they can say is his pp was inside the mouth of a secretary, he must not be that bad of a guy" Simular to the logic of "If the worse this gal can say about obama is his alledged islamic faith, he must not be that bad of a guy"

I really don't care where a politician has stuck their penis. I am not marrying them, nor am I going to live with them.. Or have to deal with them AT ALL on a PERSONAL level

I am voting for a man to do a job, and how he does the job in question is ultimatly what matters.. I would find it questionable if a company fired a good employee for cheating on his wife, it's simular here.

If the choice is between a "saint" whom's life style I agree with 100%, but they are polar opposites on the issues. Or a "sinner" whom I believe some of their personal choices are questionable, but they represent me on the issues, I will choose the latter.
