If a person says they're hot, but won't show a pic, i don't believe it?

I go to an obscure art forum that's very similar to this site. Sometimes we get people who claim to be handsome or sexy, but refuse to show their picture to back up that claim. Yet these same people will criticize other people's profile pictures freely. They'll also get upset when people wont believe their claims. Is it normal im one of the people that won't believe them?

    Pretty normal. Idc if people don't want to post their pic, privacy is a thing...but if they're gonna make outrageous brags and then not back it up, well...it's only to be expected everyone will think they're full of shit.

    When you are dealing with people on the internet even if they show you a picture that dose not prove it’s them .
    Video chat is the only way to know what they look like .
    This is why I don’t understand how so many people get fools by a catfish .

    It’s common knowledge, and decided by unanimous vote, that I’m the most handsome man on IIN.
    Trust me, I know a lot of handsome men, the most handsome men, but I’m always the most handsomeest.

    But! Showing my face would make other males sad so I would never post photos.

    Maybe they are trying to spare others feelings, like I, the most handsome man on IIN, also do.

    You are probably right. For me what gives their lies away is their readiness to criticise others’ appearances, a hallmark of insecurity and a sign they’re likely no oil painting in real life.

      No not deviant art. That place is a craphole. I was banned from there a few years ago when tracers stole my art. They convinced their followers that I was the thief. My account was somehow terminated. Their accounts were terminated months after mine but I decided to not go back.

        I don’t blame you for leaving.

        People used to pressure me to get DeviantArt but I was put off by the sheer amount of weird shit on there eg. Pregnant sonic the hedgehog. I assumed they were drawing it to be disturbing but later learned most of it was fetish art.

    Has it ever struck you that they don't want people on the forum to know whom they are? I would never upload a pic to here for example because that would ruin the whole anonymous-thing..
