Whenever I think of China, I remember this one story...
My country recognizes Taiwan, so we have no diplomatic relationships with mainland China. Unfortunately, a friend of mine died in a car accident while working in Shanghai. It took 4 MONTHS to get his remains repatriated, and all because of this silly thing.
Extra: my cousin got a scholarship to Taiwan and she was really happy there for 5 years =)
