Being sensitive is a strength. It makes us more able to make close friendships with people and more able to form good bonds in a relationship. What it literally means is that we are more able to pick up on the emotions of other people and act on them, and being able to know how other people feel quickly is definitely an advantage; it allows us to be social and we are social animals.
It does not make you weak, and it does not make you less likely to succeed and be happy. For every time sensitivity makes you feel weak or upset, there is at least one time where it helped you even if you didn't notice it. Sensitive people win in the end, you just have to learn to be more stoic and patient and learn from every mistake until that time. Eventually you can have the benefits of sensitivity all the time without having to endure the hardships so often.
I wish that I was a sociopath.
