Same here, except I would still wanna keep my human intelligence. I would also like to still have opposable thumbs and stuff, maybe just a human-shaped body in general except as a cat... but then that's just being a furry, which is pretty unfortunate
What if you could shift in between? Then have a secret life!
I want to be a cat because being a human and living up to human expectations is hard. I am awkward and want to escape myself. Have a cat's elegance and power.
It'd be cool to be able to switch. Then I could use it to crawl into cozy tight spaces that I couldn't otherwise get to! Maybe hide in people's ventilation without them knowing.
As for furries, it's kind of like a mental illness except it's also contagious. Like folie à deux, except it's infected like 1/10 of people on the internet, and is probably also linked to actual brain damage. I'm half-infected myself, so trust me when I say it's a most foul of plagues
Yessss like you could be so much sneakier with a cat's body and a human's intelligence, no one would suspect you of anything, you could literally be a tiny superhero!
I think lots of people become furries because they want to belong to something and they make them feel accepted, and I also think it is linked to low self esteem, so it's a form of self-escapism to me. Does any of this apply to you?
I only say I'm half-infected because of how often I have unwanted furry dreams. I've never participated in the actual community at all, but even so it's like the furry menace has still found a way to consistently make me feel slightly gross and uncomfortable.
What about you? How much do you relate to the furry horde?
I don't think it's normal to be attracted to animals, or anyone in a fursuit, that's bizarre. I get wanting to imagine life as an animal though, like a wolf, cat, bird- but that's like something kids do! If you feel like your identity is as a furry animal rather than a human though, then seek help. It's not that I want to be a cat, it's that I want freedom, special abilities, I feel bad about myself sometimes and find it hard to fit in- so I want to get away from human-me. If you have furry dreams, it doesn't necessarily make you a furry. And if you find it gross, you still have a conscience and a moral compass, as long as you don't became a purposeless pleasure seeking coomer, I think you will be fine too :)
I will never be a cat and it makes me sad

Isn't being a furry a mental illness?
