I was just diagnosed with bipolar disorder

Hello All,
Its been a while since I've posted anything. But I've been going through a tough time , I was recently diagnosed with severe Bipolar disorder. My boyfriend Tommy and my sister Maddie, have been the best people with helping me through it. Im still confused with life though, What is my purpose now that I have a '' flaw '' in my system? Help me please.
thanks ,
Hazel

I wouldn't say it was a flaw, you're still the same person you were before :)
I know a few bipolar people, most of them live very normal lives. Once you know what signs to look out for it should be much easier to control and treat.

  • You were probably bipolar before you got diagnosed so it's likely nothing is different other than now you have an explaination for your mood swings which is a good thing because people can improve themselves once they are self aware.

Welcome to the club ;) Your purpose is the same as it was before, not that anyone really knows their purpose. A diagnoses changes one thing only: your awareness of your problem. Which is a great thing because now you understand yourself more and can get help! Don't worry, most people with bipolar live completely average lives.

What was your purpose in the first place and how does being diagnosed make it disappear? There is no absolute purpose for anyone so if you had yours what makes you think you lost it now

Go listen to Demi Lovato. She was diagnosed with Bipolar, and went through hard times, it might help. That, and a good psychiatrist.

I would recommend reading some bipolar books by people who have bipolar disorder themselves. There are some really good ones out there and you will relate to them and also have ideas how to manage your disorder.

Oh well, they should just change the work of a whole field of professionals because your illiterate, uninformed, uneducated arse doesn't know.

              Idiot.

To you wanting to kill yourself one day and next day being so overwhelmed and happy that you wanna get drunk and spend all of your money isn't a mentally abnormal state?
