    The u.s. isn't forcing Aus to join in on these wars. Blame your government not the u.s.

      Did I say anything about blaming anyone? But I do blame successive governments of my country for following the us into wars which had nothing to do with Australia, going as far back as Vietnam.

      If you know your history, you'll know that the us didn't get into WW2 until it was directly attacked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor

        Yes I did know that, that's basic u.s. history. But I thought we were talking about today and the future, not something that happened 70 years ago when you were in your 40s ;)

          If you don't take the past into account how can you judge the present, let alone the future? You can't ignore the fact that individuals in all countries on both sides of the Vietnam War are still affected by it, from neglected veterans to people like me who were radicalised by the protests against it.
