    I think maybe keep it casual at first, get to know him, that was he feels comfortable with you..and maybe he will start the convo more...and btw...guys dont think like girls..if they give you an blunt answer..its not blunt to them...its only blunt to girls...so remember dont over think things!! :) good luck
