I want to turn my menstrual blood into paint?

I've been thinking about it for awhile so I finally bought a menstrual cup. Being an artist I'm always thinking of new things to do and I think im going to collect my blood, dry it, and turn it into oil paint.
This is legit and not a joke.
Has anyone done this before?
Any tips on what to do or what not to do?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Yes, this has been done by other disgusting people, too. You're very late to the concept.

    • I've seen them do it while it's wet though, im talking about drying it out. I don't think it's gross, it comes from my body.

It's a contaminant. No sane person wants someone else's bodily fluids on shit. No sane person has trouble understanding why this is disgusting.

        • I agree with you

Although, I suspect it could be for a personal project, something that would probably have meaning to her

I still think it would end up smelling and rotting after a while though, right? Wouldn't there be lots of bacteria to fester? Unless she's planning to burn it or something

I would think it would smell...

          • Not sure what will happen, but yeah. If it ends up going rotten/smelly I will find a way to dispose of it properly.

            • Would you tell me your inspiration or what you're creating? Just curious as I have an artist's mind as well

              Comment Hidden ( show )
        • I'm not sane lmao.
I just want to be able to explore different things in life, no matter how gross.
I am being safe, the only person who will come into contact with the blood will be me.

Still nasty, but at least you're not inflicting it on others.

Unlike that sick fucking bitch that shoves wool up her twat and knits from it.

So does urine and feces. That doesn't make it not gross or at all sanitary.

I found this guy on Facebook who would give himself an enema of paint-coloured water then spread his legs over a huge canvas and shit it all out.

It doesn't stay red though. More brownish.

It's been done before, and using blood was somewhat common in parts of the world as a paint pigment.

So to was tanning human skin into leather and using it to make book covers and other "light and soft" leather goods like gloves, etc.

    • I know the color doesn't last, I've read into it before starting this project.
And that's interesting, I never knew that.

Menstrual blood is good face paint for a "girls only" party dancing naked under the full moon. Every day makeup has always been a bit stupid. Get primal, get earthy, smell the crisp midnight air; dance and sing naked with utter abandon in the moonlight. You don't need tattoos. Menstual blood can make cool mystical symbols on your bum, or squiggle lines and dots on your arms and back.

Menstrual blood comes from the sterile uterus and contains no harmful bacteria.

The uterus absolutely, 100% is not sterile. If you actually understand what that word means then you really should know this.

Granted there have been some challenges to the sterile womb hypothesis in recent years but the findings are not enough to completely refute it.

There is no health risk to painting in menstrual blood, distasteful as you may find it.

A sterile environment means there are no bacteria/microorganisms present. There will be literally billions of these in the womb. Even during pregnancy it's under dispute whether it's sterile or not.

Got a t shirt that says "it's that time" it was done like an old fashion tie dye and guess what was used as one of the colors. Can you say, been there, done that, got the t-shirt. No smell, nothing more than a blood stain on any piece of clothing.
