One of the more extreme cases was he was on call at 1:30 AM, but wasn’t actually allowed to come to the center until 7:20 AM. We live about 30 minutes from his base so he had to run the DC roads for 6 hours before hand. Not sure when “real work” ended, but he got home at 5:30 PM which isn’t abnormal.
And as for your other comment, of course I’ve expressed how I feel, but he’s still in such a honeymoon stage with his new job he’s willing to lick the boots and do circus tricks until his boss pats him on the back.
And for your comment on working on the National level or living in DC. Yeah. It’s rough. Eventually the protests sound like white noise and the corruption just gnats in your face. I always work privately, and my husband, being a Russian immigrant, commutes constant jests now that he works Nationally.
Yeah, I would skeptical of anyone saying they had to drive around aimlessly for six hours. I mean, that makes no sense. A standard work day is eight hours so it just sounds fishy to me.
What kinda work does he do anyway? It just seems so vague.
Yeah, who knows, maybe he gets straight to work as soon as he leaves, maybe he doesn’t. Wish I could fucking know.
His career before this job was research in preventative epidemiology for nomadic people’s in Siberia and North-Eastern Asia.
Now, he describes it to me basically he does research to counterattack weaponisized nanopoisoning.
They had stuff in the news about the diplomats coming back all scrambled from Cuba and China? He isn’t working on that, but he said it can be considered close to it
I want to sabotage my husband’s “secret” job

So what is his schedule, or rather an example thereof?
