It's legal to name a kid whatever the fuck you want roseisabella. Hell the kid could be named fuckroseisabella and that is a legal name. Freedom.
"The" just seems too bland if you want to go outside of the box. How about Blank? Blank Page an optimistic name.
Where I live there are lots of laws governing how you name your kids. I was reading about them the other day as we're deciding baby names for the bun in the oven. Most of the banned ones were just stupid anyway but I was surprised to see fruit on the list. I wasn't planning on naming my kid after fruit but back in the UK you occassionally met girls called Cherry, Apple or Peaches. Seems weird to ban it.
You mean "Fruit" as a name, or examples of fruits, such as the ones you listed (which are legit, IMO)?
As for "The", you have to consider how having this name (if it's allowed) will impact your child's life, because it's going to follow him/her throughout his/her lifetime (barring a legal name change at his/her own discretion as an adult, which wouldn't be surprising). Imagine this scenario playing out:
"What's your name?"
"The."
"The, what?"
"The!"
"The what? What is your name?!"
"I told you; it's THE!"
It would be a real-life ongoing "Who's on First" type of situation for your poor child.
I mean examples of fruit which I listed. I personally don't like them as names but I do think it's harsh to ban it, I don't think they're that bad when you think of all the stupid names out there which are allowed.
Heh, have you not, have you not seen and heard some of the names kids in the 'hood are given?
BTW Rose, so my room mate and I were at the store and we saw this grown man walking around with his pants around his knees. He may have had special educational needs.
I love when a television program like Cops shows a perpetrator running from the cops, and the guy trips, and falls, because of his stupid saggy ass pants on the ground!
I want to name my children "The"

It's probably not legal to give someone such a stupid name.

Yep!
Blank doesn't sound so bad
Lol
Nope, it's still stupid.
Freedom might be an acceptable name, but it will suck if the kid grows up to be a douchebag.

You dont get to be the name police. If a kid hates their name they can change it.

Yeah, but certain names are not permitted in certain jurisdictions.
Heh, have you not, have you not seen and heard some of the names kids in the 'hood are given?
