#1: You gotta die. There was a Greek myth about some guy who was granted everlasting life by the gods. He got so old and shriveled, he looked more like a cricket than a human. Keep that in mind.
#2: the Karmic reincarnation system you're talking about is based on justice. If you're an evil person, you will indeed come back as a slaughterhouse pig or a rat in a glue trap. But good actions will lessen the suffering in future lives, until you work your way up to being a millionaire's baby. So, if you're really that concerned about it, be a good person. Unless you're a mass murderer, a serial rapist or Mel Gibson, it'll help significantly.
